Forestry engineer (2002), MSc. in Forestry and Environmental Conservation (2006), PhD in Natural Resources and Environmental from Ohio State University (2011). Assistant professor at Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Amazonia. Research interests: Wildlife ecology focusing on birds and Conservation biology and Macroecology. Has has research projects focused on understanding the responses of biological communities to natural and anthropogenic  disturbances and its application in conservation.

In the program Partners for Conservation in the Colombian Amazon he is the representative from the Universidad Nacional sede Amazonia and coordinates the activities of the program in that region.
