Political Scientist from Florida International Univeristy. Currently is working on a MSc in Environmental Studies student at Florida International University focusing on environmental economics and the sustainable management of biodiversity. She has worked in various projects from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Colombia and varios African countries aimed at improving integrated management of natural resources, with a focus on freshwater. Her research interests are ethnoecology, environmental legislation, and environmental education. 

In the program Partners for Conservation in the Colombian Amazon she is the Program Assistant and coordinator for Monitoring and Evaluation.
